"October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, a chance to spread awareness. During the month of October, we celebrate people with Down Syndrome and make people aware of our abilities and accomplishments. It's not about celebrating disabilities, it's about celebrating abilities." - NDSS
A lot of people don't know this but I have an older brother and he has Down Syndrome. He is so gentle and kind. My brother is truly a magical human being.
He always know when I'm upset or when something's wrong. He'll place his hand on my shoulder and ask in a soft voice, "Nancy you ok?" or yell out, "Nancy smile!" with the biggest grin on his face.
It's just the little things that he does that makes my heart full.
